Description
Since 1989, President and Producer Lido Chilelli, along with the support of the Beaches community, has cultivated this local festival into one of Toronto¡¦s most anticipated events of the summer, attracting both Canadian and American tourists. Beaches Jazz continues to be one of the few remaining free jazz festivals and the leading festival for promoting Canadian musical talent.
Beaches Jazz StreetFest remains a popular attraction with over 40 different bands performing from Thursday, July 27 to July 29 from 7pm to 11pm on street corners, balconies and rooftops on Queen Street East between Woodbine and Beech Avenue. The melodies of calypso, new age, jazz, fusion, Latin, blues and Cajun will delight audiences throughout StreetFest. As well, the Balmy Beach Club, an exclusive member¡¦s only venue at the foot of Beech Avenue will showcase various artists.

Fantastic laid-back festival in park setting makes for a relaxing athmosphere. I try to make it here every year and even my niece has enjoyed it since she was a baby 6 yrs. ago. Make sure you bring a blanket, hat and sunblock.
I recommend this place.

I've been down to the Jazz Festival almost every year that I've lived in Toronto. The streets are packed, the music is generally pretty good, and it's just an overall good time!
I recommend this place.
