This is one of those 'off the beaten path' gems of a park. It sits right next to High Park which is Toronto's biggest and best city park. Rennie Park is nestled into a mixed working class and upper class neighbourhoods, and is well loved by all who have spent time there. It has a courtyard garden on one side near the playground and childrens wading pool. This courtyard area is lovely for the adults to take a stroll around while they can keep an eye on the kids in the play areas. There is a good size picnic shelter if it rains. There are tennis courts and skating rinks, A Clubhouse building too. Behind the clubhouse the park continues and descends steeply to the hidden waters edge known of old as Catfish pond, but in recent years the name was changed to cattails pond? I know this park so very well as we lived near there and I spent a great deal of time there as a child. I miss Toronto and I miss that old beautiful park. I recommend this place.
