Description

The ambitious redevelopment of the Royal Ontario Museum is one of the worlds largest museum restoration and expansion projects. Through the restoration of the original heritage architecture and the construction of a new landmark building, all designed by Daniel Libeskind, and elegant new exhibit designs by Haley Sharpe Design, Renaissance ROM creates a spectacular new experience of our collections.

The ROM is defined as much by its diverse collections of world cultures and natural history as by the international research that supports them. It follows that the new ROM galleries are object-rich, supported by unobtrusive interpretive aids. We seek to put all our major collections on permanent display, to create intimacy between the visitor and objects to reveal the context and meaning of objects, and to improve visitor orientation and circulation.

Galleries remain the core of any great museum, but a visit to the new ROM will also offer an array of creature comforts: comfortable gathering places, simple signage, easier accessibility, first-rate restaurants, fine retail shops and unique spaces for special events.

My friend and I went here for free entrance and we did check every exhibits, and they have interesting collections, specially they are newly improved expansion last two years ago or so???Amazing museum in Canada. But we regret we came very late afternoon, not enough time,or pay attention to every detail and close-up reading every detail of it.Were told within 30 minutes they will be closing.
I recommend this place.

It's enjoyable yet educational and no matter how many times you go, you always get to learn new things! If you want to have a day off work or school to have fun with your family or friends, this is the place to go!
I recommend this place.
