This is a big zoo,so manage your time and choose your destinations within it wisely.I went here for three times, until now I haven't seen the entire Metro Zoo and to see all kinds of animals yet.The last time I visited this place with my family and friends,it gets more destructive.some are tired walking, some wants to ride the train, some wants to eat non-stop,some ones to sit and read.some of them they got lost,we have to wait for them, catching up Thu cell phone to find them. At the end of the day we get home tired and frustrated of wasting time,thirsty...

The Metro Zoo is a great place. Yes it is a little pricey, the price to get in is high and if you don't bring your own food the food is very pricey. But if you want to have great memories with you family that you will not for get this is the place to go. Everyone will learn at least one thing they didn't't know before. So can you put a price on that. If the price buts you off you can always look in to a yearly pass it is a great idea and the Zoo is open all year round, that way you get your monies worth. I went there 3x already, huge place to see all kinds of animals, garden too.But I will not spend $30.00 per person, plus my children for a short hours is not worth it,I do plan ahead what to wear like comfortable walking shoe, cloths, extra spring jacket, portable umbrella, cold bottled water, skin protection, hat, disposable plastic spread on the grass to relax reading if you are tired???or no benches available for you to sit on,my suggestion to everyone enjoy your stroll, and enjoy the scenery,a lot of positive attitude to wait in line while you are there with your family or relatives or friends

The zoo is a great place that shouldn't be limited to just kids. Amateur photographers can snap great shots in natural surroundings. Also, when I was an art student I went to draw animals from life which is much different experience from copying a photo out of national geographic. It can also be a great place to take a date. Watching animals play can be a real conversation starter and a great ice breaker. The price is a little high when compared to other zoos around the world but it's still relatively affordable. The Metro Toronto Zoo is one of the finest zoos in North America, and is definately worth seeing. It's an absolutely huge place; if you want to see a lot of it you should make it a day trip, and don't expect to be able to see all of it! The facilities are excellent, as are the natural surroundings of the zoo. You can get food in several places, and there are lots of picnic areas if you choose to bring your own. The kids will love the childern's area near the zoo entrance; camel and pony rides, etc. Some might complain about the price of admission, but it's worth it if you're going to spend the day there. A year of Zoo membership is also only the cost of about two visits, making it a pretty good deal. I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

Been to the Toronto Zoo few years ago and I enjoyed it. I went with my family but I know people who have gone there for dates also. If you are an animal lover, you will love the place. It is quite large but then it has to be in order for the animals to have a "better" life. It is good to see different animals once in a while even if it is pricey! I recommend this place. I was at the zoo a few years ago. It's probably the best zoo in the area, compared to African Lion Safari and places such as those. The zoo itself is great for class field trips and such, but considering the price to get in, I'd rather spend it elsewhere. If you haven't been there, you should go just to see some real live animals. If you have, nothing there really changes so it's not worth the insane price. I do not recommend this place. I had a lot of fun when I went here. Great place! There is something to see for everybody. The polar bears were cute! I highly recommend it as a fun family activity or with a group of friends.

This is a big zoo, so manage your time and choose your destinations within it wisely. There's a list of what is where and the zoo is divided into geographic zones, which makes it a bit easier to browse. The Gorilla Rainforest is also an amazing section. Of course, like the previous owner said, you can't interact with the animals, but that's too be found in most zoos across the world. It's also not that cheap at more than $30. But it's a great zoo, and especially it's your first time, you're bound to have lots of fun. Oh, and Don't miss out on the tigers, they're awesome when they play with each other. Been to the Toronto Zoo several times in my life time. I live about 5 mins drive away from the Zoo, so its easily accessible. As much as I love animals, I feel as if I am paying over $30+ for a ticket, at least there would be some interaction with the animals. Instead, 90% of the animals are mainly behind glass walls while you walk down a smelly path of ordor. Was it an experience? Sure. Was it fun? The first time probably. Would I go aagain? If someone paid my admission + food. Can you see everything in one day? Probably, if you run. Take your time, use 2-3 days.... it is a pretty big park. I recommend this place.
