RAQ N WAQ Inc  

A lot of planning and effort went into the design of Raq n Waq and it shows. The result is a beautiful room strongly reminiscent of a classic West Coast loft space, complete with hardwood floors, exposed posts and beams, two fireplaces, a fully stocked bar ready to satisfy all palates, 11 pool tables, a dance floor, a patio and a bunch of cozy lounges. As many of the local residents may realize, Raq n Waq is actually located in the old bakery space of Future Bakery. You can still see the old flour hopper suspended from the ceiling in one corner directly above a lounge area.

The bar itself is the centrepiece of the Raq n Waq. Created entirely from the remnants of a 200-year old barn the owners rescued from destruction, we have incorporated everything from the barn-boards to the shingles in the design. Raq n Waq is also one of the most well appointed billiard halls in the city. We have eleven Brunswick tables in the room, two of them being the top of line Gold Crown III - the highest rated tournamnet tables in the world.

If you are not in the mood for a game, there are plenty of cozy nooks and crannies in Raq n Waq where you can just relax and enjoy some conversation. Whether the tunes are coming from the bar's collection, or one of our DJ's, they are always nicely suited to the environment and time of the week.
