43 out of 46 people found this review helpful. Upon going to the so called Rockstar night on Sunday Augutst 30 I checked the website to see if there was a cover. The site emphatically stated no cover. Afer arriving at around 11:15 there were people milling about at the door deciding all of a sudden to pay the five dollars imposed upon them after the whim of security. After telling the host that the website stated no cover I was told that it was "rockstar" night and so there was a cover. So f***ng what. What are we going to get for our 5 dollars beside some tired old performance!!!

After informing the so called "head of security" whoever it/she was I informed her that I should not have to pay as per the website. She informed me to step outside to view the sign which stated a cover after 11pm. Who the hell reads the tired darkened old sign when it was put up one hour before opening. More than that she had major attitude, was morose miserable and offered no customer service beside telling me that I was not allowed back in now. THIS IS MY FAULT THAT THE ESTABLISHMENT CANNOT COORDINATE THEIR WEBSITE WITH THEIR SIGNAGE!!! The security was rude and way out of place for denying me entry to the old club just because I dared question her so called authority. I way looked the part and was probably dressed more for the night anyone else.

When are we gays going to realize and stop taking this shit from these security goons who think that they are above reproach from anyone else and think they own the place. Considering the two block line up down the street at Zippers that night and no line up at the Barn they think that they would want to let people in....not turn them anyway.

It's a shame after Yanko died the Barn has turned into a dump with no soul and a bunch of ignorant. illiterate morons running the place.

I WILL CERTAINLY NOT BE RETURNING. I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT IT WILL NOT BE LONG BEFORE IT CLOSES AGAIN!!!!

I do not recommend this place.
