The Black Swan is a great little bar to hang out. I highly recommend it!! Tuesday nights are my favourite day to go there! I enjoy watching the band that night! Great guys.. The owners are two brothers.. they are amiable gentlemen who make you feel very welcome! Their family has owned the place for many yrs and apparently in their hay day there used to be lineups to get in to see the blues bands playing there. Just go upstairs and check out the pictures of the talent that has been there! The prices are reasonable and the staff are courteous! Check it out! I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Wednesday nights, Long&McQuade sponsors a Blues Jam at the Black Swan. Even a slow night attracts a dozen good musicians (though sometimes as many players as spectators). There's some great music to be heard - or played, if you can. Worth checking out any Wednesday - I'm going back regularly.

Excellent prices and laid back atmosphere. Good rock and blues music upstairs most nights but especially with Tony Springer on Thursdays. Folk and blues music downstairs on Tuesday nights and Celtic folk on Wednesdays. Pool table and dartboards for those who want to play. Nice place to just hang around and chat or listen to good music.
