DescriptionSince the early 1970's, The Second City has been providing audiences with laughter, insight, and entertainment, while redefining the art of comedy. It has been the training ground for many of this generation's finest comedic actors, writers, and directors.

The Second City has also been home to the study of improvisation -- both as an art form, and as the backbone of the modern school of ensemble acting.

The Second City Training Centre is the place for an aspiring improv artist, an energetic teenager (10-18), a business person honing their skills, or someone who just wants to have fun in a friendly, supportive and professional environment.

Superb. Possibly the best improv/drama training centre in Toronto.

The space is small enough for it to be a cozy setting for its students, restricting students from 'hiding' or getting lost in a huge spacious room. However, it's big enough to move around and play around in the space.

The teachers are amazing. They know how to criticize you while still giving you ample praises. They are very well-trained and know how to get the best out of each student. Most if not all of the teachers have appeared in numerous improv/comedic shows in Canada. My teacher guest-starred in the Royal Canadian Air Farce as well has been working as a stand-up comedian.

Working with people who've been in the industry for a while (10+ years), giving you advice and instruction is all that you can ask for in a drama/improv training school.

This school really pushed me outside of my comfort level and I'm really greatful I found this place.

I recommend this place.
