This is by far the worst 'luxury' brand hotel I've ever had the misfortune to stay in. No better than Holiday Inn and everyone who works there is so fake it makes you think you're in robot land. You can tell that Fairmont brainwashes them. The hotel itself (the building) is nice but everything else is woeful for the price paid. The only reason for paying to stay at these hotels is so you can say 'I stayed at a hotel that cost me $500 a night, aren't I rich' If I want to go for a high end hotel again I'd go for a Westin, Shangri La, Hyatt or any other than Fairmont so I can enjoy a proper luxury hotel. I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

By far the best hotel in Toronto, the Royal York offers luxury accommodations with every amenity imaginable. The rooms are elegant, large and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. The location is perfect for a romantic getaway, downtown near the CN Tower, Rogers Centre and overlooking the lake. Be sure to try their Fairmont Gold Program - in which you occupy a large room on their 8th floor and are treated to snacks at night, a serve-yourself bar and a morning breakfast buffet. I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

If you get a new room... great! If you get a refurbished room, you might get that 1970s feeling all over again, with a tiny room and ultra thick curtains. This hotel is massive with over 1,000 rooms. You might also run into a celebrity or two. Still considered one of Toronto's top hotels. I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |
