ICC operates as a Commercial Hotel in the months of May to August and serves as a deluxe student residence in Fall and Winter. Located in the heart of Downtown Toronto, the resident hotel offers 252 well-appointed rooms. In addition to providing an economic stay for leisure travelers, it also offers various catering services for business travelers year round.

Ryerson Conference Services provides "One-Stop Service" for all your conference and meeting needs. Our professional staff offer planning and coordination assistance to ensure your needs are understood and met. We will help you plan every detail, offering experienced advice and service that will make your function a memorable success.

At Ryerson Conference Services, we offer complete catering service including a conference management service for both on and off campus conference organizers. We will advise you on your meeting and social function requirements and estimate your total conference costs. All aspects of the conference can be dealt with directly through our Conference Services office and provide our customers with "One Invoice" to include all services at the conclusion of your conference.
General Information


- Food Services
Ryerson Conference Services provides excellent banquet and catering services. Guests can choose from a wide range of menu options with services provided by a team of friendly and professional staff. Detailed descriptions of our facilities, services and catering menu selections are included for your reference.
We offer two types of campus food service styles, "Standard" and "Premium".

Standard Service is "disposal service" and available through our locations within campus for functions such as Breakfast, Coffee Breaks, Light Lunches, and Receptions.


Premium Service features linen, china and cutlery, all attractively set up for your function. The Premium Service charge is $1.75 per person extra in addition to the regular menu price quoted.

- Premium Service is provided at the International Living Learning Centre location at no additional cost.

- Menu Selection/Guarantee
Our sales staff and chef will be more than happy to assist you in composing your own menu and custom design to meet your individual tastes and budget.

We would appreciate receiving your menu choice at least 2 weeks in advance and appreciate your updating us as to the number of guests attending 10 days in advance of the function. A guaranteed number of persons is required 48 hours prior to the function. The convener undertakes to pay the quoted rates for the number of guaranteed or in attendance, whichever is greater. We are, however, prepared to serve 5% above the guaranteed number of people attending the meal function.

All functions must meet the minimum guarantee number of guests to suit the selected banquet / meeting room. Ryerson University Conference Services reserves the right to re-assign function rooms based on final number attendees, and as business dictates. Certain meeting rooms / facilities on campus may require additional care taking services, such as cleaning and air-conditioning services on weekends and designated statutory holidays. Any resulting charges will be passed on to our customers.

Financial Arrangements and Payment Policy
Residence Rooms, Meeting Rooms, and Meal Services :
The Conference Services Office will be pleased to provide based on your requirements, a group booking agreement in details with the following applicable terms and conditions for your signature.

Price/Guarantee/Fees:

Prices are guaranteed for a period of 90 days and are subject to change thereafter. Ontario Sales Tax + GST are applicable on all food and beverage items. Rental charges and set up fees also apply to all rooms used for meal functions, meetings, and exhibits. All room rental charges are subject to 7% G.S.T. Institute account numbers are required when billing an institute related event. Functions with live or taped music are subject to SOCAN fees. A Fee schedule is available through our Conference Services Office.

Charges for residence rooms and meal services will be based of the guarantee or the actual number to delegates and participants in residence, use of meeting room facilities, equipment rentals and food and beverage services.

Method of Payment:
Full payment is due prior to the start of the function, unless prior written arrangements have been made through our Conference Services Office. Any incidental charges incurred will be invoiced to you following the completion of your conference event with payment due upon receipt of statement. Please note that all past due accounts are subject to a 1.5% interest charge per month (18% per annum). Any credit balance will be refunded by cheque within 30 days after completion of your event. We accept cash, certified cheque, Master Card, Visa, and American Express. In the unlikely event that Ryerson University, Conference Services is advised that this definite booking is cancelled, a cancellation fee will be charged.

Cancellation Policy
In the unlikely event that Ryerson University is advised that your definite booking is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice to the Conference Services Office, a cancellation fee will be charged. This fee will be based according to the contract, as well as the estimated total charges for Food & Beverage and Meeting Space revenue. Room rental will be charged in full unless cancellation is received in writing at least 10 working days in advance. The Conference Services Office will make every reasonable effort to resell cancelled space. Should we be successful at reselling cancelled space, a sum equal to resold will be credited to your booking.


Insurance
Ryerson University requires the organization to procure public liability, tenants' legal liability, property damage, fire and extended perils insurance coverage for the dates of the conference. the amount of coverage required is $2,000,000.00 naming the University as an additional insured and a certificate of insurance must be delivered to the Conference Services Office prior to the event.


Food Allergy Policy
Ryerson Recognizes severe allergic reactions of customers with known allergies while attending events catered by Ryerson Conference Services. We are committed to assist our customers with food allergies, to make informed food choices by providing accurate and timely ingredient information to the best of our ability. It is however the responsibility of the client and their guests to inform the food service department of any known allergies and special diet needs.

We will gladly work with the client to the best of our ability to satisfy their dietary needs. However, we can not guarantee that products are completely free of ingredients that may cause an allergic reaction. Please note that in some cases the food service department may not be able to accommodate specific dietary requests.

Maggie's Eatery
Maggie's Eatery serves full morning breakfast daily between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Guests can choose from a variety of fresh morning pastries and fruits, or design their own custom breakfast from the menu.


Maggie's Lounge
Open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Here, summer guests are enticed with a selection of appetizing lunch and dinner options, specially prepared by our Executive Chef. As for desserts, very few can resist our freshly made Belgian Waffle or our famous warm apple crumble pie.


International Room
The International Leaving Learning centre provides excellent conference and catering services. Banquet rooms vary in size allowing you to choose the facilities that meet your requirements.


The Hub Cafeteria
The Hub is Ryerson's largest venue and can accommodate 275 people for sit-down or a la carte meals, or 460 for licensed receptions. The Hub is available daily from mid May to mid August each year.


Pitman Hall Cafeteria
The Pitman Hall Cafeteria offers a versatile venue ideal for banquets, meetings, or small trade show events. With windows and doors opening into the Pitman Quad it is a perfect venue for a BBQ.

I went here for conference meeting twice,nice & simple place for lecture,training,seminar in this affordable location(GTA).Maggie's Eatery is nice place to eat-in while meeting some friends & colleagues to arrived.

I recommend this place.
