Academy of Realist Art  

The Academy of Realist Art (ARA) is a private institution that teaches drawing and painting in the old master tradition. The curriculum and the teaching techniques are modeled on those of the 19th-century European academies. teaching the student to thoroughly process the skills needed for representational painting.

The Academy functions under a four-level program that, when completed, will allow the graduate to confidently approach and overcome the most difficult projects in drawing and painting.

The school's procedure is that of individual instruction in a group setting. The student is guided, at his or her own pace, to successfully complete each assignment with the desired results. The environment at ARA is supportive and respectful, by both instructors and peers.
