It's a great place to people-watch because it has quite a diverse crowd. I've always found the service great, and the pizzas, pastas and salads are reliably both tasty and substantial.
I recommend this place.

Firstly, the waiter kept rushing us to order. He must have come to us about 3 times in the space of 15 minutes and wasn't the most polite. In addition, he was less than curt when asked to recommend drinks and appetizers. When the food finally arrived it was pretty bland. Not the best italian food that I have had. To top it all off, he took an extremely long time to attend to us after our meal so it took forever to get our dessert orders in. And to our surprise he returned and told us that unfortunately they were all out of the dessert we had ordered!! This seemed quite odd so on leaving the restaurant we called just to see if they had any of the dessert left and they did. Go figure!! I am really sorry that we didn't get the waiter's name though.
Needless to say, my friends and I won't be returning to Bar Mercurio again.

I do not recommend this place.

With daily specials, and a menu that includes a good selection of gourmet pizzas, you're sure to find something tasty to savour with a glass of wine on their cozy front patio. The only drawback was that the food took a while on the busy Friday night we went, but it's still a nice place to go for an intimate affair or quiet celebration. I recommend the butternut squash ravioli - it's their specialty.
I recommend this place.
