Bos was founded in 1988 by André Beauchesne, Michel Ostiguy and Yves Simard, three veteran advertising professionals whose last initials form the company name.

With a staff of seven, the new agency was an instant success, earning immediate recognition for its strikingly original creative, rigourous analysis and adept media planning. Although founding creative director Simard died tragically in 1991, his successor Roger Gariépy, formerly of Young & Rubicam, maintained and accelerated Bos' creative momentum. Bos has grown under careful control, with a present staff of over 75 in two offices, Montreal and Toronto.
