The Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance was established in 1983. In a very short period of time it gained the reputation of being one of the finest Cecchetti based schools in the country for training students of all ages and levels of ability, in the discipline of dance. The Academy offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acro, Latino, Pointe Work and Variations. In 1991 it received recognition for its high standard of training from the government and became a Registered Educational Institution. Whether teaching an appreciation and love for dance or the professional dancers and teachers of tomorrow, the Academy keeps each individual’s goals in mind. Many of our students have gone on to continue their training in dance and related studies at such other highly recognized institutions as The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, L’Ecole Superieure De Danse Du Quebec, The National Ballet School, Ryerson Polytechnic University and York University, as well as several international schools and dance companies of world class status.

I have spent the last sixteen years there and have recently graduated, so I can tell you that the teachers and other students will be your friends for the rest of your life.
