3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. I had my first meeting with Dr. Danylak last evening. It was supposed to be a 5 minute "meet & greet" for Dr. Danylak to determine if she will accept me as a new patient. I registered at the front desk well before my appointment. I was told that my Health Card was invalid, that it was cancelled. I knew this was incorrect as I has used it in a medical facility 3 weeks earlier. The wait was long. My appointment was for 6pm and I was not "placed" in a holding cell until 6:40pm. Dr. Danyluk was taking people who arrived well after me before me. When I did finally get to see her, everything went south from there. The office was sloppy, disorganized and unprofessional looking. Medical records were strewn all over an examining table. I felt there was no privacy as I could hear medical discussions between the receptionist and other patients in the neighbouring room.Dr Danylak proceeded to advise me that my Health Card was "fraud or lost/stolen"and that there would be a $50 charge for the visit. I was as livid. Our discussion regarding my health was more of a strained argument than a meet & greet. At the end of the session, she advised me that she serves the community and only the sickest in the community. In essence, I am not ill enough to be Dr. Danylak's patient. Thank God! I called The Ministry of Health this morning and confirmed that Dr. Danylak and her staff were both WRONG about my Health Card. It is perfectly valid. They just don't know what they are doing.

She had a little son who was sick and needed to see a specialist. Not only did Dr. Danylak forget to book the specialist appointment, but after being called by the mother Dr. D booked her a specialist appointment but for the wrong ailment. The mother than thought she had the right appointment and waited for a month for it to come. Brought her son in to see the specialist and found out that she wasn't even booked for the right ailment.

Needless to say she had a very sick son, and even after calling the 2nd time and demanding a specialist appointment. It was booked wrong, her son is better now having gone to another doctor and being properly booked. But in terms of seeing a specialist it's no joking matter, especially if the doctor rejects answering calls from eager mothers who want to help make then children better.

Too many stories.

I do not recommend this place.

5 out of 5 people found this review helpful. What can I say about Dr. Danylak?
She is a mix, on one side she is extremely knowledgeable, and you can tell she’s experienced with patients; especially having worked in ER. But if that is your only factor/stipulation in finding a doctor then she may be the right one for you.

The negative side to all of this has to be a variety of many different things. In terms of the hygiene of her office, it’s slim to none. I had gone in for an appointment, and over heard a lady saying that the clamps they were going to use for her physical were dirty, and she instructed Dr. Danylak to get them cleaned. The over all rush of the office, isn’t soothing at all, but the reception desk staff are amazing at sorting out appointments; but you can certainly tell they take a lot of crap from Dr. Danylak on a regular basis. When you get into the office to speak with Dr. Danylak for the first time you’d think it would be the normal 21 questions, no! You’re told to undress in a robe, and have a FULL physical right there on the spot – blood tests – the works. There is an overall negative and disorganized feeling of the office, and the over all stress level when you get into the office is horrible. Dr. Danylak's attitude is rather hard not to notice the second you get into her office. It seems as though she doesn’t even care about her patients but more or less is focused on making the quickest amount of money possible.

If you can get by the bad hygiene, the stress in the office, attitude - then this office might be right for you.

I do not recommend this place.
