I have been a devoted and grateful client of Dexter's Optical since Dexter first opened it. As an extremely nearsighted person my glasses had always been heavy and less than attractive. Dexter put me into lightweight, good looking glasses, that didn't slide down my nose. My husband never could get a proper fit with glasses. He was never happy with his glasses until he started using Dexter's Optical. Our whole family would not get their glasses anywhere else. I'd travel from another city to get my glasses at Dexter's Optical. Every person that I've recommended Dexter's Optical to has been blow away by the product & service. Dexter stands by his product 150%. We are so far beyond happy clients that I do not have the words to properly express our feelings.

I entered dexters optical recently regarding an alignment problem I was having with my progressive lenses. I asked the opticianer if he could assist me, and he replied that he could not and would not !! Furthermore, he stated that my lenses were the absolute worst I could have purchased, and said that I must be having trouble seeing to my left and my right. He then firmly said that the problem must be with the prescription, even though I indicated the glasses have been just fine for approx. 2 years ! After this " optical experience " I proceeded to go to a much more helpful optician, who said that my lenses were just fine, and then adjusted the lenses to match where my eyes hit the required distances. Therefore, in rebuttal to the individual who I spoke with at dexters optical: a) My lenses are just fine. b) I can see left and right. c) The prescription is correct. d) All that was required was in fact an adjustment. This review is of an incompetent opticianer, whose lack of optical knowledge is only matched by his arrogance and lack of business acumen - he cost himself a potential customer, not to mention all the other people I could have brought his way. As a result, "1" being "poor" is much too high a value to give for the optical service I received; 0 or a number well into negative territory would be a much more appropriate grade !!! My Mother has macular degeneration. Dexter has been looking after her needs for several years now. I also am a customer of Dexter's Optical. My eye doctor would not fill my prescription with the frames I dearly wanted. When I brought my Mom down to Sunnybrook I showed the prescription to Dexter and he was able customized my lenses to fit the frames I wanted. It is Dexter's knowledge and experience that makes him the best around. We are loyal customers and we look forward to the trip from Peterborough to get great service and satisfaction. Thank you Dexter! See you soon.
