Biggest crook around. Keen has been charged with at least 10 counts of fraud in the past few years alone. He uses stolen parts in repairs and jacks up the cost of repairs even after appraisals have been done. Then he holds the car for non-payment and charges storage fees!! If he didn't grease his lawyers, judges, etc he would have been in jail a long time ago. You have to wonder why downtown fine cars has anything to do with him. BEWARE

Excellent service and quality of workmanship. When my insurance company tried to use counterfit parts they stood up for me and made sure my care was repaired safely and properly. I would strongly recommend this company to my friend's and family. I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

A terrible experience with this establishment. I was in an accident and was asked by the towing company where to tow my car, I had it sent to Downtown Collision. Upon arriving at the collision center to check on the status of my car I was 'greeted' by two people with a bill from the towing company and a form to be signed. I explained that my insurance company would take care of any bills. They replied that, no, I was responsible for the fee. I said that I would get back to them regarding that issue. They then followed up by saying that if I wanted them to fix the car I would have to sign this form, otherwise the insurance company could take the car wherever they chose to. Downtown Collision specializes in Volkswagen and Audi (my car was a Volkswagen) so I said that I definitely wanted them to do any work needed and signed the form as requested. After the fact I found out that my insurance company and Downtown Collision have a poor history and that I was now caught in the middle of something. A few days later I received a call from Downtown Collision requesting payment for the tow. I again told them that the insurance company would take care of it. I was put on hold twice and had to explain this at least 5 times. It now turns out that John Keen, the owner of Downtown Collision, is trying to hold me responsible for $2500 to cover 7 days of storage fees for a car that has since been written off and the ownership has been turned over to my insurance company. He claims that I signed a work order. Whatever paper I signed was not explained clearly to me and it was signed within hours of being in a serious car accident which involved my three year old son and me, and after I had been examined for a head injury due to the accident. Needless to say I was not at my most clearheaded. No respectable establishment would take advantage of a situation this way and I would not recommend them to anyone. I do not recommend this place.
