This is a gym for a very specific crowd. If you're not a middle-aged WASP, the staff will act like they're doing you a favour. Very disrespectful. The worst are the higher-ups, the ones who will register you. Avoid Lindsey. The patrons are the least friendly of any gym I've ever been to, absolutely no one talks to each other unless they come in knowing each other. Eclipse's free weight area is very cramped, about the size of a living room or slightly smaller. They also blast screeching loud R&B/hip hop. I can't wait to join another gym. i had a membership for a year and it was terrible. dirty bathrooms, unhelpful people, broken equipment. when i quit they would not stop removing payments from me

What makes for a great gym you will find here. New to the city from Vamcouver, I find this gym the easiest to get your cardio needs meet. Its the only place with a view overlooking the outdoor square at Yonge and Eglinton. The people are great, they listen to changes, very clean and people of all ages really workout. As a result, its easy to pick up on others energy if your having an off day. The classes are great, the music could use a face lift with more variety, in short, less dance music. Overall, having viewed over a half a dozen gyms, this ranked the best. Others may look great but are dead, silent and no vibe. Ask yourself what your looking for and I am sure you will find this gym will meet your needs. Lastly, parking is easy if your not walking.

A bit pricey (about $80 a month), but if you don't mind paying the money, then it is a good gym. The main workout area is a bit on the small side, with not that many bikes etc. But the classes are good and the gym itself is very modern and clean. Good location if you live in the Yonge/Eglinton area.
