One of the nicest places in Chinatown to take a load off your feet after shopping and relax with a tempting fresh pastry and tea and chat with friends. Very clean, bright and cheerfully busy and lots of variety to choose from at a very reasonable price.

This Chinese bakery is set up as a serve-yourself pick and choose, making it easy to browse and take your time deciding on what you want from the more than 25 different items to choose from at any time. Buy 6 items and you don't have to pay the tax on it. It's the perfect place to pick up barbecue pork buns for lunch at about $1 a piece. There's also room to sit and enjoy a Kong Kong style tea, though it's often quite busy.

If you need good pastry downtown you must go there! A cake for a bday (like a strawberry cake) will cost you only 15 bucks. Plus you can get a lot of different pieces of cake for cheap...chocolat cake, mango cake for $1 each! You can also get some lunch buns with their chicken or porc buns! for about $1 each I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

This place is cheap, the food is good, and it has some baked goods that you can't normally find. I've been craving a curry-filled bun or something similar for a while, and this place had it. For a good price, too. Though it was a little spicy, I liked it a lot, as well as my BBQ pork mini-bun (fifty cents), my small fruit tart (one dollar and twenty cents, and it had several different types of fruit on top, including a melon ball and some kiwi), and my red-bean paste-filled rice cake, which I forget what exactly it was called. It tasted a little of sesame seeds, though it said banana something on it. The place was a bit crowded, but you could still move fairly freely; there was just a short line at the register. You grab a tray and a pair of tongs, and choose from two small rows of cases, which are clearly labeled. You take your food to the counter, which has a display case with various cakes and sweets, including litte slices of colorful fruit-flavored cakes, the fruit tarts, and mousse, if I remember correctly. You point out which ones you'd like, hand over your tray, and they put it all in a box in a bag. Then you pay. Like I said, the prices are nice - you could get a unique, tasty, and cheap meal here. They also sell drinks, and have a separate area with a few tables. I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |
