This is one of the coolest branches in the Toronto Public Library system. This location houses the Merril Collection of Science Fiction and Fantasy, as well as the Osborne Children's Book Collection; researchers from around the world visit these closed but publicly accessible collections. Lillian H. Smith branch also supports the best open science fiction and fantasy sections in the city. Room rentals in the basement are available for use as well, and the building, beautifully designed and featuring a lovely echo chamber, is a delight to visit.
