DescriptionFilipino Centre, Toronto, a non-profit community organization;Association,Club,Group,Association.


Located on 597 Parliament St., the Centre offers free medical service to new immigrants (awaiting health cards), refugees and tourists.The Free Clinic is open every second Saturday of the month, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Suite 103.

Free medical seminar-workshops on topics related to diabetes, hypertension, cancer, depression, etc. are also offered every last Sunday of the month, except the summer months.

The Homework Club, with free tutoring from volunteers, is offered to elementary school students who experience difficulty with math and English. The service starts in September and ends in June.

The Rizal Society of Ontario

The Rizal Society of Ontario will hold its second installment of the forum entitled “Will Federalism Make or Break Our Nation?” on March 31st, 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Filipino Centre of Toronto, 597 Parliament Street,Toronto, Ontario. (For directions, please call 416-928-9355).

The committees that need volunteers are:
School Outreach Program where Ontario registered teachers are much needed; Golf Tournament; Line Dancing instructors; PGIF dancers for the seniors program; the Pistahan; Cabbage Town Festival; Filipino classes; Search for Young Filipino Entrepreneurs; Outstanding Academic Awards; Medical Seminar Workshop; Basketball tournament; Homework Club; Income Tax Seminar; Will & Testament Seminar and some other programs.

Nice to know that Filipino people finally have a Community Centre right on Parliament Street as formal place to meet together,celebrate,and help their own community.They have their own building that belong to them.This an old building(renovated).to accommodate many people.They are very friendly,convenient location near the shops,and buses.

I recommend this place.
