Tasco is the worst place on the planet to buy appliances. Please do yourself a favor and don't get anything from there. They don't service their warranty and overcharge over MSRP by as much as 30% (Checked and LG dishwasher, they were charging $600 over CANADIAN MSRP) I don't know how they are in business with the service they provide. We purchased a Maytag Fridge, DCS Stove and LG dishwasher from Tasco in 2006. The service was excellent until we closed the deal and the appliances were delivered. The stove arrived all scratched up and when I called the sales person about it he basically washed his hands of me and told me that I had to deal with the warranty people...strike 1. We have had many problems with the appliances, and each time we have to wait 2-3 weeks to have a service technician in (Our latest problem with the stove has been ongoing for 4 months, as I type there is a technician in fixing the problem stemming back to April 18). The fridge has had a few problems but my main concern has been over the LG dishwasher, which has had at least 7 service visits in the 2 years we have had it...I have been particulalry dissatisfied with the level of aftersales care that Tasco delvers. The companies that Tasco hires to do the servicing are generally late, last minute or they don't show up at all. Too many broken promises for my liking. I would not recommend buying again at Tasco...the giveaway is when you go to their web-site and all they talk about is their sales staff...all they are after is your money and they do everything in their might not to stand behind the products they sell. They should have taken out my dishwasher many months ago, but like a great insurance company they continue to delay replacing the piece of junk masquerading as a dishwasher ...I am sure until the wararnty runs out. Hello, I have been searching for a place to post my review regarding the TASCO shopping experience and I was surprised that there are no so many. Here is mine: I bought a Viking fridge from Tasco almost a year ago and their selling point (beside the "good price") was the quality of their "24 hours" service. I paid delivery and extra warranty from them to avoid any unpleasant situation. It turned out that the service was totally unacceptable. They sent me back and forth to the manufacturer Viking USA, the service Company (Kampen) with several excuses when I discovered that the ice maker is not working. I spent lots of time with Tasco service department over the phone and exchanged emails to try to convince them to make my fridge work. So, the same as in previous review, my advice is: Please, forget about them, there are several other distributors over there waiting for you. They are very bad... that's why when I needed to replace my washer & drier I went somewhere else. If you need detailed information, please send me an email. icozma@hotmail.com I recommend this place. I was recently in Tasco, at the Dufferin and Lawrence location, and was appalled with the service. The representative that assisted me (name which I won't mention) was very unprofessional and extremely rude. Today, I was ready, willing and able to purchase my appliances, but due to the lack of professionalism, I refrained and purchased at Appliance Canada. That poor salesman, I guess he lost his commission for the day. As such, I am hoping that this review will make other potential customers think twice before purchasing at Tasco. If you don't show them the money, they don't give you the time of day. So my advice to all of you is to search around and seek out other appliance places and don't waist your time on this one!
