I went to Tonic nightclub on August 23rd, for my birthday I was in VIP and able to get myself and guest in with guest list price, which would have never been possible if it werent for a close friend who works with them. The club itself is good, music wise. The staff at Tonic are incredibly rude and disrespectful to their costumers, which obviously ruins the experience for everyone. I faced so many challenges that night with the staff, they wanted to kick me out becuase they claimed they saw me through up yet none of the staff could actually say they saw me do it, and once i asked to speak to the manager, they kicked me out of VIP and i was only allowed on the main dance floor; to be honest VIP wasnt really all that there was no security to stop n e one and everyone from getting in. It is honeslty not worth the 15 to 20 dollars to get in to that club, it was actually nothing special, I have been to cheaper cover clubs and they had great staff and music making my experience a positive one I could pass on to others. Also my friend had left the club for a moment, making sure to inform a bouncer she was leaving and coming back, he was fine with that and told her she would no problem coming back in. but once her friend and her returned they were charged a second time for entry, and the bouncer they spoke to refused he ever had any such conversation with them, that was incredibly disrespectful and dishonest. it makes me wonder what knid of people really do work at this club. I would like to experience Tonic without VIP "SPECIAL" treatment, and go in as an average Joe, and see if I would get treated any differently by the staff, probably worse! Also when I was outside collecting tickets for my friends and my own entry, I was verbally abused by another staff member who found it funny to embarasse me in front of everyone outside, and made no apologize when I had proven I was intitled to my tickets......incredibly rude. The staff at Tonic need to learn how to be respectful to thier costumers, yes people may be drunk and some may out of control but that gives you people no right to be rude everyone who walks through your doors!
I do not recommend this place.

1 out of 2 people found this review helpful. AWFUL CLUB

Music is awful, overcrowding, corrupt bouncers, violence and drugs are common.

Much better clubs downtown. Like Lot 332, System Soundbar, Easy on 5th.

I do not recommend this place.
