Founded in September of 1987, Toronto-based TOPIX has become Canada's premier computer graphics and animation facility. Specialists in character animation, special effects, film titling, type and broadcast design, the company creates award winning work for a wide variety of clients in the advertising, post-production and music video industries. TOPIX is also a leader in the high-end post-production industry, thanks to the work created by its award-winning Inferno and Flame artists.

In 1997, TOPIX took over Toronto's historic Chalmers Building on McCaul Street (just off Toronto's trendy Queen Street West) that now also houses another TOPIX co-venture: Mr. X, a studio providing computer generated visual effects for feature-based entertainment. Mr. X brings together a unique mix of artists, supervisors and technical programmers with over 20 motion pictures to their credit.
