	3 out of 4 people found this review helpful. At first glance, the Yorkville Club (midtown location - Yonge/Eglinton) is gorgeous - with modern decor and row upon row of brand new equipment. The yoga studios are impressive to say the least, with one dedicated to hot yoga and the changerooms are visually appealing with the sauna and steamroom. Unfortunately, it's only after you pay the unheard of initiation fee and agree to be locked into the year-long contract that you realize it has tried to do too much. The a/c is actually a fan system, half the cardio equipment is broken, the club is prone to break-ins to lockers and the staff are inattentive. Upon realizing I was billed twice for the same period to my credit card, two weeks later I was still waiting for a call back from the accounts/management to adjust the billing despite repeated phone calls and messages. The staff must know how terrible business is doing as it's hard to find an employee from one day to the next, everyone seems to be leaving. But what's the alternative?
