2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. I lived in a CAP REIT building in Kitchener. They are the worst "Landlords" ever, if they can even cal themselves that. When we moved in, there were holes in our closet doors, which we told would be fixed, never was. The one sliding closet door didnt even open, we were told it would be fixed, never was. There was a stain (quite large) in the corner of my carpet, never fixed. I am surprised my bathroom light fixture hadn't caught on fire, it was disgusting. They are sneaky. The apartment we looked at was nice and clean, they said there was "no guarantee" we would get that one, but it would be one just like it...ya except the just like it was dirty and disgusting, but we had signed the lease. OH and to top it off, after not living there for 5 months now, I get a letter stating I owe them OVER $6000. UM NO. Turns out, when i told them i was leaving, they never took my name out of the system as a tenant...so they have been charging me rent for the last 5 months, plus 2 parking spots.
I do not recommend this place.

3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. I do not recommend renting with CAP Reit at all, they do not care about their tennants. Maintenance is never done, and the buildings do not have any security.

The moment my lease is up I'm getting out of here. It's not worth the $1000/month rental for a one bedroom apartment that comes with various piping and water problems.

An added plus is Horrible management that will lie through their teeth just to get rid of your complains. (example: every week either one or the other maintenance worker will get sick so they cannot carry out maintenance to your apartment because they are short of staff....or....they promise that someone will come to your apartment next week, but no one ever actually comes....or....they came to check the problem but they couldn't find anything....) they continue with these excuses until you get tired of getting them to fix the problem and you just live with it until your lease is up.

I do not recommend this place.

NO HEAT ..
TOOK THEM UNTIL MARCH 24/08 TO FIX HEATER..
BATHROOM LEAKS ON CEILING FOR 1 YEAR ..
STOVE FAN DONT WORK FOR 2 YEARS .
NO HAND RAIL ON STAIRS
NO GRASS OUTSIDE,,WHEN IT RAINS IT FLOODS THE BASEMENT ....BEEN 8 YEARS ,,,STILL WAITING
THEY LOST MONEY ORDER ,,,BAD MANAMENT
NO - ONE KNOWS WHAT TO DO HERE ?????
