Repairs are never done.
Monkeys could piant better.
The superintendant doesn't listen and has no common sense.
The office blames everything on the super and vice versa.

DO NOT RENT FROM WYNN FAMILY PROPERTIES.

I do not recommend this place.

The super is completely clueless and doesn't do anything all day long, the building is filthy and in terrible disrepair. Don't let the new tiles by the elevators fool you!! If you like heat in the winter, don't live here. The heat is turned off on Friday so by the time you realize your ass is frozen and decide to call the office everyone is gone for the weekend, and as mentioned earlier the super is absolutely clueless... this happens about every 2-3 weeks that the heat is shut off. The elevators are also questionable, I've been stuck 3 times already. I'm not sure if it would be better to be homeless or to have a lease with these people... if I was to do it again, I'd probably choose homeless. Also, if you somehow do happen to end up living in one of these places, know your rights as a tenant, and don't be afraid to call the city standards and permits department. If no one complains, nothing is going to change! COMPLAIN TO THE CITY!!

I had been dealing with issues for a year and nothing ever got done. They raise the rent to whatever they feel like, so beware. I went to the internet and found out what the allowable increase was and did the math on my own. I strongly advise to weigh all options before dealing with these people.

I pay for rent every month in full, I live with my infant daughter. The people who live under my apartment are playing very loud stereo music almost every night. I am calling police on the daily basis. I've been complaining to the landlord and superintendent, as well like other tenants did. We were told that they are getting evicted, all they are telling us now is that EVICTION IS IN THE PROCESS. That is my main problem. The other was my bedroom window. One part of window was missing, they fixed it after almost two months since I asked for it. When the first snow came down. In that time my daughter and I got really bad cold due to temperature in my bedroom. The heating was also not working at all, I had to call my brother to fix it because it was already very cold outside and my window was still not fixed by that time. And they would not send anyoneto do it. They don't care about the tenants, they care about the cheque at the end of the month. I regret moving in here, and as soon as my lease is over I will be out of here for good. Don't move in with kids or if you are expecting living standard.

Hi! Today is april 11th, those people from downstairs are still here, eviction still in progress. Heating in winter is okay but it is getting turned off atleast couple times a month, it is getting broken and they can't fix it properly. Water is getting shut down for many hours without notice. There is either no hot water or no water at all. Roaches all over the building. Thank God my lease almost over. Keep away from this place.

The place is in a state of disrepair not to mention that it is overrun by unwanted critters. They do not follow the laws set by the Landlord and Tenant board. Although cheap in price, it makes a person wonder if it is worth all the trouble. Their staff is extremely rude and have no customer service skills. I have witnessed staff openly swearing with children nearby.
Lesson learned! Would never recommend this company to anyone, if anything would warn anyone not to do business with them.

I do not recommend this place.

Their inhumane acts actually stemmed from racisim. Multi-cultured tenants pay their rent, which the Wynn Family luxuriously enjoy. Only POOR people live in low rent apartments. Wynn Family doesn't care about our standard of living, for we live in slums, while they live as King and Queen. Disgusting living off of poor people and not even caring to fix heat, etc. Oh yes, when I moved in, the A/C was taken out, which left a gap between the ledge of the window and the place where A/Cwas, you know what they did, stuff the gap with paper towel and silicone, imagine, cold breeze still seeped in, so I use a comforter to cover it in winter. I am sure they have their homes properly insulated.
I pray black, indian, or chinese people, don't ever have to rent from Wynn Family, I knew they were racists, because I kept friends with the spanish, their apartments carried real tiles, while mine carried stick-on ones, also their fridge and stove were top of the line, while mine was for the garbage.
I am sure if your "spanish", you would be treated fairly, otherwise, BEWARE.

I do not recommend this place.

4 out of 4 people found this review helpful. My refridgerator was collecting buckets of water in the bottom drawers. I contacted landlord every week about problem, letting her know my food is spoiling, all I got was the run around, for two months. After reading their poor reviews I thought the only way I could get my refrigerator fix ws to hold the rent. As I knew, within the first week of holding the rent the technician came and requested a new fridge. At the end of the day, they tried to evict me, because I held the rent. At court, they were so rude, and actually lied to the judge saying they never got written requests, so I ended up having to pay for the court fees.

ADVICE, Never deal with the Wynn Group, even in despair, looking for housing.

I had no heat, a cockroache problem and a mold build up in my bathroom. Moving out was the greatest feeling ever. I feel bad for the girl who moved in after me when she contacted me about the mold build up in her bathroom. I highly suggest if you see a sign that says Wynn group you run as fast as you can.

I lived in one of their apartments at 70 Spadina for six years, we had the odd boiler failure in winter or other such mishaps but they were fixed within reasonable time and considering the low rent we paid it was OK and well situated downtown. I know people who have been living there for 40 years, so it can´t be that bad. The Wynns are nice people and are in business, not charity work, so those who want top service and apartments and low rents as well will never be satisfied, you gotta be reasonable in your expèctations... I live now in South America but I still visit the Wynns in Dupont St. when I come to Toronto, I´ve got nice memories of my time living at 70 Spadina.

6 out of 6 people found this review helpful. Please DO NOT move in or sign lease until all repairs / replacements promised have been completed prior to move in date. Make this absolutely mandatory because once you've moved in, you will have difficulty getting anything done. (If you're determined enough to cut through the administrative red tape and discouragement tactics.

Advise you to take a detailed look at the complete property, each floor, ceilings, grounds, underground parking. Check smoke detector for batteries function / functioning.

I do not recommend this place.
