What a disastrous choice for a restaurant. We stood waiting for 15 minutes to be seated when more than half the tables were empty. No lake view tables and no seating upstairs except for tour groups. The ambience is dim and depressing and the food took 45 minutes to arrive. For a $52 dish, the portion was very tiny. Exhorbitant prices for very tiny portions for all the dishes. I was very shocked at the mediocre taste of the food - tasted like any fast food place would have. My dish had a side of rice which was a most coarse variety of rice, and thr brocolli was completely raw instead of being steamed. The so-called captain never came to our table even though he went to all other tables. Finally, it took an unbelievable 25 minutes to get our bill. Never again!

I attended the Christmas Cantata twice, everything decorated in Red & Green,White Plates, with Christmas Songs for the whole three hours, more than 40 people came. The food is pricey, regular taste specially Salmon with salad, bun bread on the side, coffee & sweets. Very pricey food.I prefer to come here only for Christmas Season. I could understand why native Torontonians would not recommend this place to a friend specially this place is very dark, the windows are closed most of the time, the boat is not even cruising somewhere??? I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

Alas - I am not a tourist, but I fell into this one. Hanging around, thought it would be a nice little quaint place. Not the best, not the cheapest, but an interesting experience. Instead - all horrible. The place was almost empty, and our host was annoyed we didn't have a reservation. He then proceeded to take seat us at the worst table. The service was slow, impolite, and downright condescending. The food? Also tasteless. Absolute rip-off, do not ever visit this place. I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? This place is one of the worst tourist traps I've ever seen. Fist of all, they asked us if we had reservations, which we didn't, and then guided us into a dimly lit room with absolutely no windows. Not that we could have looked out from our terrible table right next to the door, which was ridiculous because the place was nearly empty. I had the Shrimp a la Scampi, which was a ridiculous $34.95 - for a dish that I would describe as adequate at best. I would say save your money and go eat at a restaurant on the pier, one where you can actually see the lake. I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

Just about the worst food you'll find in Toronto. I wish someone would cut the chains and let this restaurant drift out to deeper waters where it can safetly be torpedoed. Avoid at all costs.
