With the owners ready to retire this shop is now only open part-time (see limited hours in profile, and they close for several months out of the year for holidays) and is really only still there because its important to the community. It is probably the only place in Toronto where you can get a traditional Scandinavian wedding cake, similar styles are used in Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The shop is pretty rustic but they stock quite a few things you won't find anywhere else, including candy and baking supplies. We bought Finnish cookies which were excellent and tried some weinerbrod which was delicious as well, and look forward to exploring the shop more in the future.

Delicious kringle, made entirely by hand...the shop owner says you can't FEEL when you roll it out with a machine. The extra care shows.
