Another disgusting meal at Dunn's last night, seems the only decent thing they serve is smoked meat or a variation thereof. I know many would say liver and onions is a revolting selection to start. But, there is a way to prepare and deliver without being repulsive. The meal offered was stone cold ..... ever tried cold lumpy mashed potatoes with rubbery liver ..... this is NOT a pretty meal. The newbie waitperson although very friendly was scattered with our orders (4 guests). After my friends were served I asked to have my meal fixed and served HOT. You guessed it... the kitchen staff zapped this plate in a microwave beyond belief. The liver was similar to boiled piping hot chopped liver..you can imagine the texture....the onions had almost disintegrated, and the mashed potates were swimming on the plate. Oh yes, it was now very hot...AND TOTALLY INEDIBLE. When is this restaurant going to get it together? They may think you can fool the public, but only for so long..........NEVER AGAIN NEVER AGAIN, I MUST REMIND MYSELF ... NEVER AGAIN..........(Well, maybe a sandwich sometime.!!!!!!!!!!

I live near Dunn's and frequently go there for a smoked meat sandwich, breakfast, or blintz, all of which are excellent. Service can be spotty, especially when the place is full of the before or after theatre crowd, but the fact that I keep going back when there are so many alternatives in the area is the real measure.

Saturday, March 31, 2007 9:10pm - entered the restaurant 9:20pm - server comes to take order 9:35pm - latte and moccachino comes, but they're cooler than body temperature 9:40pm - finally get the server's attention and informed that the coffee is cold and our dessert still have not arrived 9:45pm - left the restaurant Complete waste of time.
