Our sever was very friendly and attentive and since this was our first time trying Tapas he guided us through the menu nicely....
We first started out with a dry sherry as recomended by our server he picked a crisp dry and very cold sherry (great choice) we the picked about 8 different tapas of a very diverce menu selection...
First came the clasic tortilla- a think wedge of perfectly cooked potates with onions and egg.
second we had the duck confit a slow cooked duck leg perfectly seasoned and so tender the meat just fell of the bone.
the croquettes were crisp on the outside and very rich and creamy on the inside.
The garlic shrimp were simply to die for and we ended up ordering another.
We then had the chicken in sherry, this dish came toped with scliced olives a nice touch to accompany the tender chunks of chicken breast.
We did order the paella but looking at the reaction of the tables that did order it we definatly will be trying it on our next visit.

I recommend this place.

Their summerlicious menu for dinner is $25 but don't let it fool you.
Their waiters keep telling us that we won't have enough food from their $25 menu, and highly recommend their paella.
And highly recommend their traditional Sangria.
We really don't mine ordering extra even we didn't expect the $25 summerlicious menu was just a sampling portion as the waiter claimed.
Their paella was salty and the seafoods was chewy with just a few mussels and small shrimps. By the way, couple mussels was bad too.
And their Sangria was pretty watery. And we try a few different tapas offer from the summerlicious menu since we have 10 people.
And the waiter was right, portion are small but it was very very salty rather than tasty.
It turns out the bill was almost $60 per person include taxes & 15% tips charged on the bill.
Service wasn't too good either and in fact it was extremely slow and some of our orders was missing.
For that prices, we can go a lot of different places with much better food quality and service.
Cut the story short, we came out from the restaurant and still feel hungry.
Please be advised, Embrujo Flamenco Tapas Restaurant is a total rip off and don't go there.

I do not recommend this place.

Of particular note are the excellent Chorizo Picante (made by the chef, very good Croquetas de Bacalao, excellent stuffed mushrooms and a solid if unexceptional Tortilla. Vieras con Romesco was also very good. The only down note was a house specialty of shrimp in chocolate sauce. The sauce was sweet, lacked distinction and resembled a melted Hershey bar.
The young waiter was eager but a bit pushy. Our request for a service of olives while we looked at the menu was met with a speech on how Tapas are always "ordered together" (not in Spain they aren't) "for the kitchen" (they cook olives?). We persisted and the olives were brought. Excellent olives they were.
We ordered our 8 Tapas together as requested but asked that delivery be spaced out. No such luck. Six arrived at once followed by two stragglers later. The table was awash in food and it was hard to concentrated on any one dish.
The house Rioja recommended by the waiter was quite good.
The olives, 8 Tapas, 4 glasses of wine, one flan which we split for dessert, 1 bottle of fizzy water and 1 Spanish Coffee came to 147.00 including tax but not tip. Not outrageous but not cheap either.
The cooking is quite good but they need to learn more about timing.

I recommend this place.

We did avoid it during Summerlicious as that event attracts a very demanding and rude clientle. We cant wait to go back next week.
I recommend this place.

After driving over an hour to get there (traffic!), we were very disappointed to be denied a table by the hostess because she could not find any record of our reservation! I had spoken with the manager/owner myself on the phone and she took the reservation herself. I asked the hostess to get the manager/owner and to my surprise, the manager/owner had the audacity to claim that the only reason we weren't getting a table was because we were late for our reservation ...not because she FORGOT to write down the reservation! I was enraged by her response and will never go there. After having read the first review in this series ... I'm not surprised by the service anymore.
I do not recommend this place.

Next the table was meant for 2, but there were 3 of us, so we were cramped. After we sat down we waited 15 minutes for bread!

We then ordered our appetizers and our main course. Not once, but twice, they tried to bring out our main courses before our appetizer!

I ordered a salad and when it came the greens were yellow and there was a rotten spot on my tomatoes!

Not will I never go there again, and I will make sure no one else does either!

I do not recommend this place.

8 out of 8 people found this review helpful. The hourly sunday shows starting at 7pm were divine, though I wished the dancer and the guitarist would sing more. I wouldn't mind hearing some spanish folk songs!

The tapas were delicious, flavourful but a bit pricey. I wish we had ordered more Sangria. It was little drafty near the door and the service was attentive and professional.

This was my first tapas experience, and I do like it. As an oriental, I guess I can describe it as Spanish equivalent of Chinese dim sum!

I recommend this place.
