My husband is from Sudan. He calls this place "the Sudanese place" and it is very popular with them. I had their falafel sandwich a few times and was unimpressed. Then my hubby made me try the falafel plate, and now I'm hooked. I see why some people go there every day. The Empire serves pretty healthy food for people on a budget. It's quick and easy. It's open late. It's totally casual and a great "fast food" option. It's much better to eat rice and chicken from a joint like this than old horse meat from Rotten Ronnies. I recommend this place.
