Gosh. Where to begin. Two foodies looking for something different on a Saturday night. - Took over 10 minutes for a waitress to arrive. - Ditto for a beer and water. - 20 minutes for food to arrive. - Beef was so spicy hot it was inedible. Took 4-5 bites and had to leave the rest. - Waitress never returned the *entire* meal. Desperately needed more water. - Ate about 1/10th of the food. - Between food and service: NOT recommended. me & my hubby are foodies. & we have a 9 month old baby, & so the waiting was killing. we went there expecting some basic courtesies. the service was bad. looked like the waitress was doing us a big favor. 1st of all in the weekend special,it said 2 pieces of chicken. but when our order arrived, she dumped 1 tiny piece into our big plate.it reminded me of my hostel days. the order took 30 minutes to arrive. but the bill took only 3 minutes. me & my hubby had a tug of war over that little piece of chicken. when we are exiting from the restaurant, our dear waitress was ahead of us. seeing a baby in my hand, she didnt have the decency to hold the door for me, i had the door banging on my face! i was disapointed with the service & i would not recommend ethiopian house to anyone. We went in not knowing what to expect but we are always game to try something new. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They helped us in selecting our meal, make sure you try the Dora Wat chicken it is amazing!! Have coffee as well it is a beautiful ritual that you cannot miss. Enjoy this very affordable awakening of the senses your tastebuds will thank you.
