Hidden in a little alleyway, this is the 1st place in Toronto that kicked me out because I was not 19! It has 2 floors, downstairs being usually more chill and relaxed and upstairs a bit more noisy, bigger, and crowded. Service is crap... the staff are friendly but not enough of them. THE FRIES ARE REALLY GOOD FOR LESS THAN $2, and in general, the food is good especially when you consider the below-than-average price.

There is a nice laid back atmosphere here though the service can occasionaly be touch and go.

This eclectic little bar is one of Toronto's best kept secrets. With an entrance hidden in an alleyway behind the Poor Alex theatre on Brunswick, The Green Room serves some of the cheapest and most delicious (and homey) food around. Try the Vietnamese chicken & noodle soup - it's a spicy concoction that will have your sinuses clear in minutes.
