Hiro Sushi has been recommended as a nice authentic japanese restaurant. Eventhough it has a japanese decoration, i found this restaurnt not clean, not that it is dirty but rather uncleaned. Dust and uncleaned floor. We ordered 2 items from the chef menu. Some tempura veggies sea food roll and some mackerel with mochi. We ended up with 1 big sushi-like thing, but I mean just one piece sushi and a griller mochi with fish, it looked like 3 crackes with small mackerel on top. So it looked like 2 appetizers...this would have been fine, but for $30 just for this, I did not really want to get anything else. Yes the food was japanese, yes the people were japanese but in japan this would have costed less than $8! i just cannot understand the pricing... I do not recommend this place. my girlfriend and our 2 kids (in their 20's)had reservations at the sushi bar - and when some Japanese people sat at the bar, Hiro totally forgot about us, and served only them - when we complained, he got his sous-chef to make us California rolls - it's the first time I've ever encountered racism from Japanese here in Toronto! It was shocking and horrible! I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

2 of my friends said it is a nice place. They said, "once u tried Hiro Sushi, u don't want any other sushi." "Although it is expensive, it worths going." However, when I was there, the sushi I had was not made by Hiro, and therefore, the sushi wasn't that good. So, I'd suggest if u wanna to try Hiro Sushi, make sure u get Hiro to make yr sushi. You may have a different experience.
