I am now a regular at this restaurant. The service is a little slow, but I am never in a hurry. There must be new management because the restaurant looks nothing like the picture above, this one looks classier. Lunch and late evening are your best prices as dinner will include the so-called exotic items like salmon, ox tail and liver. The kids and I really enjoy the spicy pork and the soup is fantastic. The chicken slices are huge, but you can cut them down to smaller portions with the scissors provided. I find the beef and squid to be better at this grill than others Korean grills I have visited. As I said I am now a regular at this grill house because the food is excellent and the restaurant looks cleaner and classier than any of the other Korean grills that we have dine at. Lets put it this way, I brought my mother there and she loved it and mom complains about everything.

The waiters were rude, the squid was spoilt and beef did not taste anything like bulgoki. Basically, the same soya sauce seasoning is used on all the meats, and the beef did not taste korean marinated beef at all. I've marinated better meats over a home barbeque than these clowns. The squid was spoilt and had the texture of vulcanized rubber. They should sit down at an authentic korean restaurant, order beef and see what spices are missing from the plain and cheap soya sauce they used to marinate their meats. And there is no reason to marinate the chicken and pork the same way, they're not supposed to be using the same sauce. The most inexcusable thing is that they do not keep good QC on the freshness of their seafood --- defrosted frozen squid spoil too quickly and should never be refrozen thawed and served to their customers. I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

The night owl special was why we brought the family to this restaurant. But when the bill came, it turned out they upsold us to the next 'special' that was higher priced. The difference : "Ox tongue and Ox liver", which we put aside as they were too exotic for us. When we pointed out the discrepancy, the waiters one by one suggested we ordered the higher priced special. When we pointed out we did not touch the exotic meal even though we had no idea why it was included, they said it was our fault for not reading the menu properly. It ruined a perfectly good evening out with the family. The price difference was not a big deal, it was the dishonest business tactic the restaurant employed to upsell items that the customer did not ask for. Most victims of this scam would have just paid and kept quiet. We paid and felt so cheated that we wanted to warn others that Korean Grill House in Richmond Hill practices deceitful upselling. Caveat Emptor. I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |
