The food is ok - although far from a real French bistro. The service on the other hand is horrendous. Be warned - the servers are in charge - not the customers. They will serve you when they want and how they want - and you better tip them extremely well (regardless of the service you receive) - or they'll let you, your guests and the rest of the staff know.

As authentic as the most authentic bistros in Paris. The place buzzes with excitement and romance. The extreme popularity of this establishment - now relocated in one of the most beautiful downtown neighbourhoods - is well deserved. Stunning “zinc” in the café, cosy corner around the fireplace, large sidewalk patio on a quiet boulevard... And the food? Thanks to Chef Albert Ponzo, Le Sélect offers a bistro selection of hard to get dishes unmatched anywhere in the city. Well worth the "detour".
