	1 out of 2 people found this review helpful. Terrible. The service is aweful, we waited half an hour to be looked at by the servers. Once an order was placed the wait was even longer. When we finally did get our food, it didn't taste quite right, but by this time we were starving. I asked for a glass of water, and it was yellow. We paid and left, and were quite sick later that evening. If you are looking for an inexpensive sushi buffet, try Echo Sushi on Yonge Street. 	0 out of 1 people found this review helpful. i worked there before and i can tell you for a fact that this place is very dirty in the kicthen and the food itself, the process, materials, and people that prepare the food would make you puke (well it's ok cos u dont see it) i personally would never wanna eat one bite of any food there..there is a good reason behind this cheapness my friends! Case in point: a credit card was used by a Mariko customer 3 years ago and a few months ago someone made a phone order to this restaurant and forged their signature and used their card number fraudulently. 	0 out of 2 people found this review helpful. This review is not for the 551 Bloor Street location but rather the new 355 Yonge location. The service is beyond poor. Staff seemingly do not acknoledge your presence and if they do there is no real interaction or response to anything, just kind of a "what do you want" feeling to it all. I received the bill by the waitress throwing it on my table whilst jumping into the arms of her boyfriend. All and all a very poor performance and I recommend taking your business somewhere else, there are certainly numerous other Sushi places that are happy for your business and much more deserving. 	3 out of 4 people found this review helpful. they have all you can sushi for 15 bucks. i am from kingston so i believe it's a really good deal for that price. they also serve other japansese food, not just sushi. ie. udon and don-ka-su and etc. I loved their sashimi!!! gogogogogo I recommend this place. 	1 out of 6 people found this review helpful. "Mariko" is NOT the way to go. I DO NOT recommend their food! I heard they serve fishes that's supposed to be thrown out because it has been out in the room temperature for too long. My friend who works there as a chief said the boss's wife was furious when he told her he wanted to throw out the expired seafood. If you love sushi and don't want to pay too much, check out "Wasabi" I went there a couple of times. Their buffet has over than 160 items and they are great, especially for the salmon. 	2 out of 4 people found this review helpful. As one of the many sushi restaurants on the Bloor Street West Annex strip, Mariko (which also has a location on the Danforth) fares quite well.
