Awesome patio, awesome Sangria. Slow service. The waiter did apologize for the slowness of the food, though, so its not normally like what I experienced I imagine. The patio is great for just relaxing in some beautiful weather. The food is alright, doesn't really stand out but the portions are a good size.

Andrea and I were married in Toronto on September 25. We had our standups and minister at O'Grady's for a small reception after the ceremony. Tom was wonderful to work with in making the arrangements. The staff was excellent and made us guys from the UK feel at home. They are friendly, outgoing and to use a well worn phrase - FABULOUS! Thanks for making our day - SPECIAL! I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

Every time my friends and I decide to go there for dinner we end up going across the street. Service is not the best. Also, we can never find anything appealing on the menu to order besides the wings...hence if it is not wings night we seriously go across the street to Firkin where its amazing. This has happened 3 times in a row for me and I do not attempt to go there again. I guess you can give it a try but I do not recommend going unless it's a wings night.

I haven't been to O'Grady's since it was Wilde Oscar's a couple of years back. It had a reputation for bad food and slow service, and i'm sorry to say, that in some ways, nothing has changed. We started the afternoon off with a pitcher of beer and told our waitress that we would probably be staying for awhile, and would order some food later. The pitcher arrived, but was not poured for us. We were then ignored for the next 20 minutes as we drank our beer. We couldn't seem to flag our server down for the ashtray we had asked for so we ashed on the ground. It started to get very busy on the patio and our waitress told us that she had to give us the bill because she was leaving. We paid and continued drinking. Once we finished we sat for ten minutes with an empty pitcher. We had to flag down a waiter. He apologized that we had been sitting so long and told us that he would look after us from that point on... and he certainly delivered. We ordered another pitcher, which was greeted with a smile, not a scowl this time. He asked if we had eaten, and we decided we were ready to. he delivered some menus, then apologized that he had to leave, that he was getting very busy. In two minutes he returned and we were ready. He told us that the kitchen was moving very slowly and that we'd be waiting at least 45 minutes (45 MINUTES!!!) for anything to come out of the kitchen. At least he was honest. We decided we weren't in a hurry so ordered. We asked how the crab cakes were, he said lousy. Again... at least he was honest. We decided to have a burger, which he said was great, and the rotisserie chicken, which he told us he could not recommend, but we ordered anyways. Apparently, we should have listened to him. 50 minutes later our food came out. The calamari was good, the burger was great, and the chicken was just awful. It had clearly been microwaved from frozen. After having not touched it for 5 minutes, our server came by and asked if the chicken had turned out this time. I told him that it was awful, but, having been warned, i'd eat it anyways. (from that point on he kept bringing glass upon glass of water so that i could 'choke it down', and we laughed harder as each glass arrived). As we were finishing our food we heard someone tell our server that he had to bill all his tables to make room. Our server came over to explain that there was a bear party happening and that all the tables in the back were going to be cleared. He didn't say anything about having to leave so we asked him, and he just said that he'd had a good laugh with us all day long - so as far as he was concern, we could stay all night. We decided to pay up and go anyways, but we came away from the restaurant with two very seperate experiences. Apparently service is completely hit or miss. Your server will either greet you warmly, or ignore you completely, make your night, or make you feel like an inconvinence. The food can be great, so long as you listen to recomendations. There is clearly food on the menu that you should not eat (the microwaved chicken!). We had a great time all in all, but be careful of pitfalls when eating at O'Grady's on church. This place has the worst food and service I have ever visited. If you have money to spend, I suggest you try something up or down the street instead of wasting money on the over-priced food and absolutely horrible service. upsde: nice, big patio. recommendation: try the place across the street I do not recommend this place. What an embarassment to our City Guests. We ordered our meal and drinkgs at 2:pm Sunday June 25th which was just OK. The service we received from a waitress was just OK. When it came time to pay the bill, our tip was THROWN onto the table and we were asked "was that supposed to be the tip?" and we were harrassed about 2 minutes regarding the $6.00 tip (which was all the money we had left after the parade besides 0.30 cents). The waitress stated that they have been working hard all day and she was insulted by the amount of a tip we left. My reply to HER (Yasmin) was "you know, some people make $6.00 an hour for working just as hard as you. I do not recommend O'Grady's and I am so sorry that I did and will never go back to your establishment. Rainbow Village or Flynn's has a great reputation and I will gladly give them my money. As little as I have. I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |
