I arrived at Paaeez round 10.30p.m last friday. It was the only bar that captured my attention in the whole area. Atmosphere was charged with electricity and it had a fantastic vibe. They did great Green apple Martinis and brilliant Cosmopolitans. Staff were very friendly and helpfull on giving us some directions for nightclubs as I was only there for a few days. Had a great time and would strongly recommend it and having worked in this industry for a long time ,I have to say I was impressed. I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Located in College St. downtown Toronto, I found this place really small and unwelcoming when i first entered, but s soon as i actually walked in, i thought it was really nice. Only thing I wanted to add to other reviews is that I found the prices a bit too high for simple drinks. For example, couple fruit juices came to about $20 buck, and what really pissed me off is that they filled it with more ice than juice so i only got a few sips, and not to mention the small piece of orange sticking out of the glass fell off :(. Other than that nice atmostphere and great shisha! (Hookah)

Used to be really good two years ago. I just hosted a party last week, and was disappointed with the lack of service. I arrived and owners forgot that I had made reservations for 8:00. Luckily they were able to set up in a half an hour. I got complaints on the bartender not being at the bar to service, and the drinks not being made well. There was one waitress working the whole bar, so my friends didn't't get a taste of the hookah till 1 hour later of request. I found the management to be very unwelcoming and full of negative energy. It was never like that two years ago. Still okay to go if you want to get trashed with some friends and have a good time, but not a place to hold your events. I was really disappointed with the lack of service and also the huge disrepect that I got from one of the workers when I had called afterwards to tell them about the complaints. Instead I was told that my friends are lame and was pretty much told off. Not something you want to do to a customer when the whole point is to service people and make sure that they have a good time. hummmm....sigh!

We walked into this place thinking it was a shisha bar. It's more of a techno thumping, trendy looking place that happens to have shisha around. The crowd seems a bit pretentious - definitely don't wear jeans and sneakers. All the guys had faux-hawks and collared shirts. Some fake tans too! It was busy and seemed very exciting. There was a strange vibe about the place - it seemed to smack of effort. Not my idea of a shisha bar - way to energetic for that.

Located in the heart of Little Italy, Paaeez is a great hookah and martini bar. It is one of the very few places in Toronto I know of that actually serves hookah. One goes for $15 and will last you and a friend the night. Although the place is quite small, you can usually find a table on any given night. The back area of Paaeez provides a little more of a private setting. I have only good things to say about the staff, music and food.
