when out of friends come to town, we always go up the cn tower to the 360 restaurant. i found that although the prices were 'expensive' (compared to most fine dining establishments, pretty much on par) once the cost of going up the tower is subtracted from the cost of the meal (what is the cost now.$20?per person?) it's like you are paying 'normal' costs of eating out! plus, there's the added bonus of being able to sit and enjoy the full view of toronto and it's surrounding areas.
also, i have very specific eating requirements, which when phoned a few days ahead, i was able to have a very long conversation with the head chef, and he shopped and prepared a meal specifically for me. i'm not saying he can do this all the time, but simply the fact that he did it once for me made this experience stand out far above any other 'tourist trap', and brought it back into the realm of a wonderful eating experience!
i'm going again in the next two months - more out of town guests arriving!
I recommend this place.
