The desciption offered of this restaurant is absurd. Bloor Street Diner is neither French, nor is it located in Toronto's financial district (that would put it at King and Bay).
The food is not good and it is overpriced. There are better sandwiches to be had at a nearby cafe. Recently, I ordered the quiche of the day and was served a quiche with different ingredients (the chef had switched quiches without informing wait staff) and it was so burnt that its surface was black. I watched in disbelief as the runner set it down on my table. "Did the kitchen seriously put this out to be served?" I asked and she shrugged. My waitress came over, took one look at my quiche and went, "That's totally burnt." I agreed and she returned it, only to be informed that the entire quiche was burnt.
Whoever sent this out from the kitchen has no right working in one. It seems that the difference between good restaurants in Toronto, and horrible ones, continues to expand. I would recommend eating the popcorn at the movie theatre above the restaurant rather than wasting your money at this place.
I do not recommend this place.
