AMBIANCE: While the restaurant ambiance was nice (we were in the dining room), the service and grossly overpriced menu were so discouraging, we would not recommend it to others, nor will we be patronizing the restaurant again.
SERVICE: Although the evening started with good service (note "good," not great), it quickly declined. The server made several significant errors in his wine recommendations, and the $100 bottle (screw cap) of wine he presented us retails for less than $15 CAN (!).
FOOD & PRICES: Food was good, but certainly did not warrant the outrageous prices. Steaks at $50 CAN should come with some kind of side, and last time we checked, a baked potatoe doesn't retail for $12 CAN. Dinner for 4 came to $575 (pre-gratuity), and this was with modest orders (ie not everyone had appetizers, no one had dessert). Server was informal (ie too personal), and did not know the menu/wine list well.
We have travelled the world and the seven seas, and expected so much more. Sadly we would not recommend it to others, nor will we be revisiting the place.
I do not recommend this place.
