The servers are probably the friendliest and most welcoming servers I have had in Toronto. Not only that, the tapas style food is most excellent. Very excellent dining experience! Even got to see the man himself, Susur Lee. Do yourself a favour and check it out.

I recommend this place.

What a delightful food experience. Not only will I return but I may have to splurge and try the tasting menu at Susur on my next visit to Toronto.

I recommend this place.

The staff are exceedingly friendly and warm. The decor is interesting. The restaurant is VERY loud (due to bad acoustics, not loud music), making it hard to have a good conversation.

Their "signature dish" (as the wait staff will be sure to tell you) is a singapore salad that's out of this world. It transitions through surprisingly yummy layers of flavour (considering it's "just a salad").

What really sets Lee apart is the serving style. All dishes are 'appetizer-sized' so everyone at the table should really order 2 or 3. (We got 10 for 4 of us and were not overly full.) The dishes also arrive in random order. The intention is clearly to create an atmosphere where a group is really sharing a meal together and discussing the food. It works very well and makes for an interesting and unique dining experience.

Each dish is typically between $10-15. Reservations are a must if you want something around the dinner hour. It was emptying out by 9pm (on Saturday) so you might be able to just walk-in if you go after the dinner hours.

I recommend this place.
