A friend and I met here for dinner and billiards tonight, and were quite impressed with the place. We'll most certainly be back.
The tables are of good quality and regular size (no miniature tables) and there is one regulation snooker table in the main room. (There was another room of tables I didn't really see.) In the main room there are 5 tables arranged lengthwise in straight line. The walls are far enough away that there is plenty of room to use your cue, even when hitting a banked cue ball, perpendicular to the table.
In their selection of cues, they do provide a short cue, but I can't imagine when it would be necessary. We didn't have any trouble finding decent cues: I just used the first one I picked up, and it was fine. They also have storage lockers if you'd like to store your own cue on the premises.
So, those are the 'rails' and true to their name they have plenty of 'ales' on tap: about a dozen or so, I'd say. For dinner I ordered their Chicken & Peameal sandwich which was surprisingly good for pub fare. I ordered fries with it, but those were just average. My friend just ordered potato skins but he also thought they were above average for pub fare. Our tab for the sandwich w/ fries, skins, 1 beer and 3 pop was $25 (+ tip). I believe table time was $10/hr.
I recommend this place.
