A small South Indian restaurant with an extensive, authentic menu for eat-in, and a wide variety of prepared food for takeout.

A very tasty local favourite. Tiny, not much to look at and utterly lacking in ambience, but the food keeps people coming back. The $7.99 thali is great value for money - I get the chicken version for takeout about once a week.

I have never stopped for a meal at South Indian Dosa Mahal, but I regularly get takeout. Why? The price. Potato samosas and chickpea vadai are all three for $1 or ten for $3 (mix and match as you will), and fried or baked Indian rotis of all sorts are only $1 each. I also reccomend the Mango Lassi--a fruit smoothie made with yogurt. Unfortunately, the rock-bottom price is limited to takeout, though the rest of the menu seems reasonable, and (from what I can see) the portions are large. I recommend this place.
