I used to live in the neigbourhood for more than ten years and had bought some bakery from this place. Last Friday, I went there and bought some cookies since I thought they used to be quite okay. The girl who served me was rude, unfriendly and could not understand my simple request (i.e mixed different kind of cookies into one small plastic bag, instead of a brown bag she was doing). When I told her, apparently it created somekind of confusion for her, she put them in a paper box! which is fine by me at that point. Then I asked her for a bag, so that I can carry to the subway. To my surprise, she pointed me a sign in front of her cash register and said that there is a five cents charge for a plastic bag! An old lady who was standing nearby snapped back to the girl that "Nobody charges for a bag". I don't know if I should laugh at this point or tell her that I am no longer want to buy the cookies from her. The worst thing is the quality of their cookies were not that good as it used to be (and they are still expensive like before). So last Friday was the last time I was at this store and won't be back again.

After moving into the area, I wanted to find a great bakery/deli. I came across Sunglow after going to a couple of particularly bad ones. The service is great, and the smell of the fresh bread after entering the store is just delectable! I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

I love this place. Every time I go in, I am reminded of the bakeries in Germany. The smell of fresh bread and the sweets are unbelievable. MMMMMMMM!
