We SINCERELY do not recommend this restaurant. We called at 8:30 PM asking if they would serve us if we came at 9 PM. After all, their hours are from 5:30 to 9:30 PM. The lady said they would gladly serve us. When we got there at 9 PM, the waiter promptly reminded me sternly that they close at 9:30 PM and that we should order quickly so that we would have enough time to enjoy our food. That should have been my cue to take my party of 7 somewhere else. I made the BIG mistake of not leaving. We ordered our drinks: 2 beers and 5 soft drinks. That came in 1 minute. I knew what to order as I had researched it on the net. I ordered the set dinner for 6. The waiter left and I had to yell at him to come back so that I could tell him our choice of soup and choice of rice. I even ordered the dessert to help the kitchen. When the soup came, it was lukewarm at best. I guess if it was hot, we would have taken longer to eat. All the dishes came within 5 minutes. After taking 3 bites of our food, the waiter brought out our dessert complete with ice cream on the fried bananas. When I told him we had just started dinner and we weren't ready for dessert, he snapped back that the dessert was ready because the chef wanted to go home. I told him to send the chef home, take the ice cream out and put it back in the freezer, and keep our fried bananas warm for us until we were ready for it. He grumbled something and went back in the kitchen. As soon as he saw that we might have slowed down, (about 7 minutes later he brought out the same desserts again. This time we accepted it and as we started to share the dessert, the bill came. After about 1 minute, the waiter came to ask if we had signed the bill. When I said that I hadn't, he asked if I could do it right away as they wanted to cash out. By 9:30 PM, we left because they had the balance of our food packed and bagged and ready to take home. They had the audacity to say thank you as we were leaving. I have never had such poor service from a restaurant in Toronto in all of my 35 years in Canada and will not go back again. I am still feeling the effects of indigestion after 3 days. Our family loves to entertain by taking our friends out to Toronto to dine. We will avoid this place FOREVER. They should open from 5:30 to 6 PM. This way, if you go there at 6PM, you will have at least 3 hours to slowly eat and digest your food before they kick you out. I do not recommend this place.
