Mmm the two positive reviews on this page are obviously inside jobs. Me and my partner were craving Mexican one evening and stumbled upon this place while on our way to another, and it looked cute so we decided to give it a go. Big mistake. It was empty (fair enough, it was 9pm on a Monday night), and the table cloths were grimy, but the lighting and music was nice. Our server was pleasant and the entrees seemed reasonably priced. When they came out however, it was dismaying to see how small the portions were, how dried out the rice was, how unfresh the salad was and how incredibly oily the tortillas were. And there was feta on the salad...? Uh...ok? I picked through the tiny portion of chicken that came in my tacos but couldn't bring myself to eat the tortillas that were so ladden with oil they were see through in parts. My partner managed to get through most of his (not surprising given then tiny poriton). We let the waiter know that the meal wasn't very good and he was good enough to offer us a free dessert, which we turned down. Instead he gave us 2 15% off coupons in case we decided to give them another try (which we wont). Disappointing. We were left still very hungry and about $30 lighter.

Tequila Sunrise is awesome! In the midst of the hustle and bustle of the downtown business district, this little Cantina offers a refreshing and warm sanctuary - one feels that they've actually stumbled upon a little taste of Mexico! The service is friendly, attentive, and one is sure to immediately feel like they have been a regular customer for years. The food is fresh and authentic, and priced reasonably. I cannot imagine anyone sour enough to disapprove of this unique, cozy treasure among so many run-of-the-mill dining experiences!

I was excited to chance upon this restaurant on my route to familiar mexican place. The music was lively and the setting cozy. Sadly thats when the fun ended. Our first course of guacamole was the size you would expect a side order to come in. Not at all worth the $6.95. The chimichanga's were half full with what tasted like meat doused in nothing more than tabasco. The sides accompanying were meager. How much does it cost to fill a plate with beans and rice? And what was that poor excuse of a salad? Iceberg lettuce and no dressing. Not even fit to serve a pet rabbit. At the end the owner scolded us for not having the house speciality. Sorry, but did he assume we are psychic? Anyway, the sun has definitely gone down on this place. I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |
