A cozy place..decorated nicely a cross between a diner and your dining room! Cool pictures on the wall of buildings. The food is great...diner food...burgers(the Church St. Burger is yummy with peameal, sauteed mushroom& onions and bbq sauce), club sandwiches, meat loaf, hot beef/chicken sandwiches, fish and chips. ...the prices are reasonable ... average around $8-12 per person. They use Seattle's Best Coffee...and refill coffee and pop!! The desserts are homemade.....the brownie and cheesecake are amazing! Not just a breakfast lunch jointwith a good morning breakfast , they have dinner too. The dinner is very good. I had their chicken spinachi.. grilled chicken breast with sauteed spinach and salad. It took awhile to get but was well worth it! They have a great weekend bruch ...well worth the wait for a table! Breakfast is good too The booths in the window are somewhat tight..but a great view of the passerby heading down to Church and Wellesley. I'ts not licenced yet..but my server said that the licence is on the way as the receipt had a poll about what type of wine and beer I like! Staff are friendly..especially the two french guys in the open kitchen during brunch. Servers are friendly. The owners are on site a lot. Very friendly, hardworking and can be seen helping out and interacting with regulars ! I'd definitely recommend my friends to check The Church Street Diner out. I recommend this place.
